This is an unpainted mask I use to demonstrate this process to my students. We create a negative mold and coat it with several layers of liquid latex. Then a layer of netting is placed inside with several more layers of latex. Another later of netting is added with several more coats of latex. Once the mask has cured it can be removed and painted. I have also experimented with adding some acrylic paints into the latex itself so the color goes all the way through the mask.
