George Grosz's drawings were my inspiration for this design. Rendered in silver on transluscent black fabric we were able to pop them out as if they were members of the cabaret audience or fade them away to reveal Nazi swastikas growing like a cancer in the German public. My 1/4" value study came very close to the look of the Cabaret scenes except we painted the Cabaret sign with glittery red paint.
